Our Core Values We are a 501(c)3 grassroots non profit charity with a set of shared values at our core. - Generosity: Share what you have without expecting anything in return. Sharing your time, talent or spare change are acts of kindness and make our community a better place in which to live.
- Honesty: Be honest with others and oneself by communicating and acting truthfully.
- Tolerance: Prohibit discrimination against others because of religion, race, economic background, or sexual orientation. Everyone should be treated equally.
- Compassion: A human emotion prompted by the suffering of others that gives all of us the opportunity to be empathetic with our actions.
Officers, board members, and volunteers for Gathering Change work with this set of values when interacting with each other as well as with civic organizations, faith communities, businesses, neighbors, and schools.
We will actively build strong, long lasting relationships with other nonprofit 501(c)3's. We will build trust by keeping our word.
We are open to new and innovative ways to meet the challenges that we face on a day to day basis. We are determined to resolve differences with tolerance, active listening, and the with best interest of the organization at the forefront.
We are focused on meeting our goals of raising funds to help our neighbors with their basic needs. |
